I was fortunate to have a great internship opportunity in my senior year at BGSU. Working as a Banquet Manager at the Toledo Club exposed me to a plethora of events. Hired in October, I was initially with the club for seasonal assistance. However, the organization decided to allow me to continue through my spring semester and receive internship credit for my program. I am the first ever student to have this experience. While at the Toledo Club, I managed Food and Beverage staff members through multiple events including, but not limited to; an armed services dinner, a boxing night, a Harry Potter-themed dinner, a wild game dinner, corporate holiday parties, holiday brunch buffets and dinners, fundraiser galas, member dining, and several weddings. Please ask about my experience here - there is so much to say!
ARMED SERVICES DINNER
A formal special event with a cocktail reception and fine dining recognizing army veterans. Over 200 guests.
A formal special event with a cocktail reception, fine dining, and boxing matches hosted by the International Boxing Club in Toledo. Over 250 guests.
GREAT WIZARDS FEAST
An intricately themed special event with family style service and a magic show done by none other than Harry Potter himself (or a pretty good impersonator at least). Approximately 60 guests.
WILD GAME DINNER

CAPER'S RESTAURANT AND BAR
My junior year at BGSU was spent mostly with my Event Internship at Caper's Restaurant and Bar. I juggled these responsibilities with my serving position. While at Caper's I hosted many private events including birthday parties, retirement parties, graduation parties, and wedding rehearsals. I also put on several restaurant-wide events.
Cruise ship themed restaurant-wide special event fundraising money for local veterans. The event consisted of a raffle, wine tasting, and a rocking DJ. I was on air with Fred Lefvebre - 1370 WSPD - beforehand marketing the event. Over 150 guests.
